The Brescia Surface Design Group Is pleased to announce it’s School of Color and Decorative Arts
Opening Fall of 2007. Have you ever wondered how those beautiful colors and textures have been applied to a piece of artwork, furniture or decorative object that makes it so extraordinary? Is your creative inner self beckoning for attention and you have not responded as yet? If so, this is your opportunity to learn how these beautiful works of art are done, honor your creative self, and learn a new way of seeing the world around you. Develop your creative side, and beautify your environment. Learn about the wonderful world of decorative painting. You will have fun, feel refreshed, inspired and relax as you spend some time with fellow students that share your passion for making art. The first class offerings are designed to expose the students to the basic skills and tools used by the decorative painter. The classes to be offered in future sessions will include Color Relationships, Composition and Design, Stroke Work, Faux Finishing, Applied Faux Finishing, Plaster Effects, 3 Dimensional Texture, and Applied Decorative Painting. We will also be offering classes in specialized projects such as altered book making, and fiber arts. This is a very exciting time to think about the possibilities. If you can’t, we can! I hope you will join us in an exciting journey as we explore the wonderful world of color and decorative arts.
